9:20 Meet at Horyuji i Center-Horyuji precincts visit (with guide) - 11:30 Sutra copying (or Buddha copying) at Shotoku Kaikan 12:30 Finish

＜Afternoon Course＞

12:50 Meet at Horyuji i Center-Visit the precincts of Horyuji Temple (with guide) - 15:00 Sutra copying (or Buddha copying) at Shotoku Kaikan Ends at 16:00 Finish

●This is the first time to hold the experience of copying sutras and Buddha statues at Horyuji Temple, so please take the sutras and Buddha pictures you have experienced home with you as amulets.

●Tools such as original paper of sutras, Buddha and brushes cannot be taken home.

It is a tour that you can go around historical spots and places in Ikaruga, such as Horyu-ji Temple which is the first World Heritage Site in Japan and Horin-ji Temple related to Prince Shotoku.

You can also enjoy taking photos.
We strongly recommend to go inside of Horin-ji temple.

Experience Japanese culture and the heart of Buddha at the historic temple Kichidenji Temple.

Founded in 1467 (Onin 1). A sermon given by the chief priest of "Ryukazan Zenshoji", which has a history over 550 years.

The precious stones of the rosary, such as Tounseki (whitish amethyst), come with a wooden box, so you can take them home or store them with peace of mind.

Tatsuta-age is said to have its origin in the autumn colours of the Tatsuta River, which flows through Ikaruga. The Ikaruga's speciality 'Tatsuta-age Lunch', a deep-fried Japanese chicken thigh, is available.

Furthermore, enjoy Japanese culture with the Matcha Ore, which you can make yourself using a tea whisk.

Experience the shamisen in a beautiful Japanese-style room with a rich history. Why not try playing the shamisen in Hojo, a building designated as a cultural asset by Nara Prefecture, which also houses a "karesansui" (dry landscape garden), one of the styles of Japanese gardens?

Experience the traditional Japanese martial art of kendo under the guidance of experienced instructors.
In this plan, start with learning about greetings and manners which is the most important things in kendo. And then learn basics step by step such as how to hold bamboo swords.
